Clear paint protection film is optically clear urethane engineered to disappear on a $200,000 paint job, and the standard it has to meet there is brutal: zero visible edges, zero trapped dust, zero distortion under showroom lighting. A tabletop is judged under exactly the same light, from exactly the same distance — closer, actually, because people eat off it.
That's the whole argument. Tables, Desks & Wood Surfaces
A dining table takes more daily abuse than most car hoods — keys tossed on it, hot mugs, laptop feet, kids' homework, the occasional dropped serving dish. Clear urethane film puts a sacrificial layer between all of that and the finish you paid for. Premium films self-heal light scratches, so the everyday micro-marks that slowly dull a tabletop resolve instead of accumulating.
The film is available in gloss and matte, matched to the existing finish — a lacquered walnut conference table keeps its depth, a satin oak desk keeps its softness. Installed edge-to-edge with the template precision of an automotive install, it reads as the surface itself, not as a layer on top of it.
Ceramic coating — the chemistry we pair with wraps on cars — adds slickness and easier cleaning but can't absorb a physical scratch or block an acid etch, which is why horizontal surfaces that take real contact call for film rather than coating.

The Marble Problem Sealers Can't Solve
South Florida's condo boom put a marble or quartzite island in what feels like every new kitchen from Hollywood to Brickell — and every one of them has the same vulnerability. Marble is calcium carbonate. Lemon juice, wine, vinegar, tomato sauce, even some cleaning sprays chemically dissolve the polished surface on contact. That dull ring where a glass sat isn't a stain — it's an etch, and no penetrating sealer can prevent it, because sealers slow absorption into the stone; they don't stop a chemical reaction on its surface.
Purpose-built stone laminates solve this the only way it can be solved: a physical barrier. The acid touches the film, not the stone. Spills wipe off a surface engineered to take them, and the polish underneath stays exactly as it was the day the film went on.
The economics are the quiet argument. Once marble etches, the fixes are re-honing or re-polishing the slab — a disruptive, recurring specialist job — or living with the damage. If a protected surface ever takes a hit bad enough to matter, we replace a panel of film. Film panels are replaceable; polished stone, practically speaking, is not.

Surfaces That Earn Money Take the Worst Abuse
From the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk to the Miami hotel corridor, hospitality surfaces live a hard life: hundreds of glasses a night on a bar top, luggage dragged across reception desks, makeup and toiletries on stone vanities in every room. Refinishing means downtime, and downtime in a hotel or restaurant is revenue walking out the door.
Protection film flips that math. Surfaces get protected once, wear lands on a replaceable layer, and when a section finally shows its age, swapping a film panel is a quiet after-hours job — not a renovation. We schedule volume installs overnight and between service windows, so guest-facing spaces never close.
Short-term rentals are the same story at residential scale: Airbnb and vacation-rental furniture takes guest abuse no homeowner's furniture ever sees, and hosts replace tabletops far more often than they should. Film the high-touch surfaces once and let the film take the turnover damage.
