What Moves Your Price
Where you land inside a range isn't random — here's exactly what drives it, service by service.
Vinyl Wrap
$2,500–$6,000Your exact price depends on vehicle size, film choice (gloss, satin, matte, or color-shift), and surface condition — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle. Every full wrap includes a free ceramic coating.
Colored PPF
$4,500–$8,500Your exact price depends on coverage, color and finish choice, and vehicle size — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle. The ceramic top coat is included, and your factory paint stays pristine underneath.
PPF
$1,500–$5,500Your exact price depends on your coverage choice — partial front, full front, or full body — and vehicle type — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle.
Ceramic Coating
$700–$2,500Your exact price depends on the coating package you choose, surface condition, and whether paint correction is needed first — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle.
Chrome Delete
$350–$900Your exact price depends on how much trim your vehicle carries and the finish you pick (gloss, satin, or matte black) — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle. Most chrome deletes are done in a single day.
Graphic Wraps
$1,500–$6,000Your exact price depends on design complexity, coverage area, and whether we're building the artwork or working from your files — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle.
Commercial Wraps
$1,500–$6,500Your exact price depends on coverage (partial, half, or full wrap), vehicle count, and design work — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle. Volume pricing kicks in on multi-vehicle orders.
Tesla Wrap
$2,500–$8,500Your exact price depends on your model, film choice, and whether you're pairing the wrap with PPF or a chrome delete — we quote it precisely after seeing the vehicle. Full wraps include a free ceramic coating.
The Anatomy of a Wrap Price
We've transformed 500+ vehicles. Here's where the money actually goes — because a wrap quote makes a lot more sense once you know what happens in the bay.
01 The prep you never see
Before a single panel gets film, the vehicle gets a thorough wash and decontamination, and badges, handles, and trim come off. This is the least glamorous part of the job and the most important one: vinyl bonds to whatever it touches, so film laid over wax, silicone dressing, or road grime will let go at the edges — not on delivery day, but months later, in the heat.
When a quote is suspiciously low, prep is usually the first thing that got cut. It's invisible when the car rolls out and obvious by summer.
02 Shape costs more than size
Everyone expects an SUV to cost more than a compact — more surface, more film. What surprises people is that shape moves the number as much as size. Film goes on panel by panel, heat-formed into every recess, stretched around every curve, and tucked at every edge. A slab-sided pickup is honest work. A car with deep bumper vents, recessed door handles, and compound curves can eat an extra day of labor at the same square footage.
That's the real reason we quote exactly only after seeing the vehicle — two cars the same length can be a day of work apart.
03 The film itself — and the finish ladder
We install premium cast vinyl — the material made to conform to curves and hold its color for years. Bargain calendared film is cheaper by the foot for a reason: it fights every curve going on and slowly shrinks back off them in the heat. Same color on day one; very different car in year two.
Within premium film there's a finish ladder, and it's honest to know it before you fall in love with a swatch: gloss is the baseline, satin and matte sit a step up, metallics and pearls above that, and color-shift and specialty finishes top the range. Colored PPF is its own tier — 8+ mil of self-healing urethane, roughly double the thickness of premium vinyl — which is why it carries both a higher price and a longer lifespan.
04 The finish line
After install, every inch gets inspected under controlled lighting — edges, seams, corners, adhesion. Then full wraps get their complimentary ceramic coating before the keys come back. None of that shows up as a line item, but all of it is in the price — and it's the difference between a wrap that photographs well once and a wrap that still looks installed-yesterday at year three.
The South Florida Factor
Wrap math is different here. UV and heat are what actually age a wrap, and South Florida serves both at maximum, year-round. It's why our lifespan numbers are quoted for real local conditions, why the free ceramic coating on full wraps isn't a gimmick here (it's the sacrificial layer that takes the sun's abuse instead of your film), and why the self-healing top coat on colored PPF genuinely works better in our climate — warmth is what lets the film reflow and erase light scratches.
Two identical wraps can age years apart based on where the car sleeps. Garaged, ceramic-coated, and washed sensibly lands at the top of the lifespan range. Parked on the street facing the afternoon sun lands at the bottom. Neither is wrong — but the budget conversation should include it, and a shop that quotes lifespan without asking where the car lives is guessing.
Five Questions to Ask Any Wrap Shop
Including us. If a quote is dramatically lower than the ranges above, one of these five answers is usually why.
1.Is the film cast or calendared — and which brand line, exactly?
Cast conforms and lasts; calendared shrinks back in the heat. A shop proud of its film names it without hesitation.
2.Do you remove badges, handles, and trim — or wrap around them?
Wrapping around hardware is faster and cheaper, and it leaves cut edges everywhere hardware meets paint. Those edges are where wraps start to fail.
3.What happens at the edges and seams?
The answer you want involves tucking and post-heating. The answer you don't want is a trimmed edge sitting exposed on the panel face.
4.What does the warranty actually cover, and for how long?
Workmanship issues — lifting, bubbles, edges — should be on the shop. The film itself carries its own manufacturer warranty. Get both in plain words.
5.What's included after the install?
Care instructions at minimum. Here, full wraps also leave with a ceramic coating on top — ask what your quote includes past the film itself.
Think in Cost Per Year
A sticker price hides the real comparison. A quality vinyl wrap in the middle of our range, kept 5–7 years, works out to a few hundred dollars a year — for a car that looks exactly how you want it and keeps its factory paint sealed away the whole time. Colored PPF costs more up front but runs 7–10 years anddoubles as rock-chip armor, so its cost per year often lands surprisingly close to vinyl's.
And unlike paint, a wrap is reversible. Lease return, resale, or a change of taste — the film comes off and the original paint underneath is what it was the day we covered it. That preserved paint is worth real money at trade-in, and it's the part of the math most people forget to count.

How the Estimates Work
How does the wrap cost calculator work?
Pick your vehicle type and the service you're considering — the calculator instantly shows the real price range we currently charge for that work, pulled from the same pricing data our shop quotes from. No signup, no email required. When you want an exact number, we quote it precisely after seeing your vehicle.
How accurate is the estimate?
The ranges are the honest spread of what these jobs actually cost at our Hollywood, FL shop — not teaser pricing. Where you land inside the range depends on the factors listed under each result: vehicle size and condition, film or coating choice, and coverage. We never quote an exact price sight-unseen, because that's how customers end up surprised.
Why do I get a price range instead of one number?
Because the same service genuinely costs different amounts on different vehicles. Clear paint protection film runs from a partial-front kit to full-body coverage. Ceramic coating depends on the package you choose and whether the paint needs correction first. A chrome delete depends on how much trim your vehicle carries. One number would be a guess — a range is the truth.
Is the calculator free? Do you collect my information?
Completely free and anonymous. The calculator asks for nothing — no email, no phone number. You only share your details if you decide to request an exact quote, and that's free too.
Does the estimate include the free ceramic coating?
Yes. Every full wrap at Wrap Trap includes a complimentary ceramic coating, and the calculator's wrap ranges already reflect that — it's included, not an add-on. There are no hidden fees on top of your quoted price.
How long will a wrap last in South Florida heat?
Our lifespan numbers — 5–7 years for premium vinyl, 7–10 for colored PPF — assume real South Florida conditions, not lab conditions. UV and heat are what age a wrap, which is exactly why every full wrap here ships with a ceramic top coat: it takes the daily abuse so the film doesn't have to. A garaged car will land at the top of the range; a car that lives outside will land lower.
Why do some wraps fail after a year?
Almost always one of three things: the prep was skipped (film over wax, silicone, or road grime lets go at the edges), the film was bargain-grade calendared vinyl that fights every curve and shrinks back in the heat, or the edges were never properly tucked and sealed. That's also why a dramatically cheaper quote is cheaper — the corners that got cut are invisible on delivery day and obvious six months later.
Does wrapping affect my factory paint or resale value?
The opposite — a properly installed and properly removed wrap preserves your factory paint underneath. That's why wrapping leased vehicles works so well, and why a wrapped-then-unwrapped car can show better paint at trade-in than one that spent the same years bare in the Florida sun.
