§ 01 · Vinyl Lettering & Logos

Your Name, Number, and Logo — On Every Door

Cut vinyl lettering is the working backbone of vehicle branding: company name, phone number, license numbers, website, and logo, computer-cut from solid-color vinyl and applied to the panels people actually see — cab doors, tailgates, rear windows, and box sides. It reads clean at a stoplight, survives the wash bay, and costs a fraction of a wrap.

Broward runs on work trucks. Every roofer, HVAC tech, pool company, and landscape crew on I-95 and 441 is either advertising with their vehicle or driving an anonymous truck past thousands of potential customers a day. Lettering is the cheapest way to stop being anonymous — and unlike the letters from a discount sticker shop, we cut professional-grade exterior vinyl that's built to hold its color in South Florida sun instead of chalking and peeling at the edges after one summer.

Cut Vinyl Lettering

Solid-color, computer-cut

Text · numbers · one-color logos

  • Each letter cut individually from solid exterior vinyl
  • Crisp edges, no background box — looks painted-on
  • The most affordable branding tier
  • Ideal for names, phone numbers, and DOT/MC numbers
  • Easy to update a single line without redoing the vehicle
Printed Decals

Full-color, printed & laminated

Logos · gradients · photographic artwork

  • Printed on adhesive vinyl, then laminated for UV resistance
  • Reproduces multi-color logos, gradients, and detail
  • The step between plain lettering and a partial wrap
  • Consistent across a whole fleet — same file, same result
  • Laminate layer fights the fade that kills cheap stickers

Where lettering goes to work

Cab doors — name + number
Tailgates + rear doors
Rear windows (perforated)
Box truck sides
USDOT / MC numbers
Bumpers + fender flares
Toolbox + rack panels
Trailer sides + gates
§ 02 · USDOT & Compliance Lettering

USDOT Numbers, Done to Spec

If your truck operates under a USDOT number, the federal marking rule — 49 CFR 390.21 — spells out exactly how it has to be displayed. Here's the plain-English version of what the regulation requires:

1

Minimum 2-inch letters

Your legal business name and USDOT number must appear in characters at least 2 inches tall.

2

Contrasting color

The lettering must contrast sharply with the panel behind it — white on a dark truck, black on a white one.

3

Readable at 50 feet

The marking must be legible from 50 feet away in daylight while the vehicle is stationary.

4

Both sides of the power unit

The marking goes on both sides of the tractor or truck — one door is not enough.

5

Permanently affixed

The display must be permanent. Magnetic signs and paper placards do not satisfy the rule.

6

Name + numbers together

Legal name (or registered trade name) plus USDOT number — and MC number where your authority requires it.

Non-compliance isn't a parking ticket — federal fines can accrue per violation per day, and an out-of-spec marking is one of the easiest things for an inspector to spot at a weigh station or a Port Everglades gate. For the delivery and drayage fleets running the port and airport corridors every day, compliant lettering is the cheapest insurance on the truck.

Where we fit: we cut lettering that meets the 2-inch, contrasting-color, 50-foot spec as a baseline, in permanent exterior vinyl, sized and placed for your specific vehicle. What we don't do is interpret the regulations for your operation — requirements vary by authority type and state. Confirm your specific obligations with FMCSA or FLHSMV, then bring us the numbers and we'll put them on the truck correctly.

§ 03 · Magnetic Signs

Magnetic Signs — Branding You Can Take Off

Running the business out of your personal truck? Magnetic signs give you door branding during work hours and a clean vehicle on the weekend. We print and laminate magnetics with the same exterior-grade materials as our decals, cut to fit your door panels — a real sign, not a flimsy mail-order rectangle that flies off on the highway.

On when you work

Full-color company branding on the doors during business hours.

Off when you don't

Pull them off for personal use, HOA parking, or reselling the vehicle.

Swap between vehicles

One set of magnets moves between trucks with matching panels.

Compliance note: magnetic signs do not satisfy USDOT display rules — the federal marking regulation requires the name and number to be permanently affixed. If your operation needs a DOT number on the vehicle, that part gets cut in permanent vinyl; magnets can carry the rest of your branding around it.

§ 04 · Trailer Lettering & Graphics

Trailer Lettering — The Billboard You Already Own

An enclosed trailer is the biggest flat advertising surface in your fleet, and most of them roll around South Florida blank. Lettering and logo decals turn the trailer you already tow to every jobsite into a sign that works while it's parked in front of the customer's house — which, for a contractor, is exactly where the neighbors are looking.

What we letter

Enclosed cargo trailers
Landscape + open utility trailers
Food + concession trailers
Equipment + tool trailers
Race + toy haulers
Rear gates + fenders

Trailers pulled under commercial authority may need their own compliance markings — same drill as the truck: confirm the requirement with FMCSA, and we'll cut it to spec. Boat lettering, registration numbers, and hull graphics live on our marine wraps page.

§ 05 · Lettering vs Wrap

Lettering, Partial Wrap, or Full Wrap?

Three tiers of the same idea — put the business on the vehicle. The right one depends on budget, how far you want the branding to go, and how long the vehicle stays in the fleet.

Who We Letter

Built for Broward's Working Fleet

From a single pickup to a delivery fleet — if the vehicle earns money, lettering makes it earn attention too.

Contractors & Trades

Roofers, electricians, pool techs, GCs. Hurricane season fills every schedule in Broward — a lettered truck at one jobsite books the next three houses on the street.

HVAC & Plumbing

Service vans live in residential neighborhoods all day. Name, number, and license info on the doors turns every service call into local advertising.

Landscaping & Lawn Care

Truck plus trailer is a rolling two-piece billboard. Letter both and the whole rig sells the route while it works it.

Realtors

Clean, elegant lettering or a rear-window decal — professional presence at every showing and open house without wrapping a personal car.

Food Trucks

Menu boards, logos, and social handles that survive kitchen heat and daily wipe-downs. When you're ready for full coverage, that's a wrap conversation.

Delivery Fleets

Port Everglades and airport-corridor operators: branding plus DOT compliance lettering, consistent across every unit that rolls through the gate.

How Lettering Works

01

Proof

Send us your logo, numbers, and what the vehicle is — or just call. We lay out the lettering on your exact make and model and send a proof. You approve it before anything gets cut, and we confirm your install timeline with the proof.

02

Cut / Print

Approved artwork gets computer-cut from professional exterior vinyl, or printed and laminated for full-color decals. Materials chosen for South Florida sun — not the bargain film that fades by next summer.

03

Install

Panels are cleaned and decontaminated, lettering is aligned and applied in our Hollywood shop. Straight lines, correct spacing, no bubbles — then a final inspection before you drive off branded.

Vehicle Lettering FAQ

Under the federal marking rule (49 CFR 390.21), your legal business name and USDOT number must appear in letters at least 2 inches tall, in a color that contrasts sharply with the background, and be readable from 50 feet away in daylight while the vehicle is parked. The marking has to appear on both sides of the power unit. We cut lettering to meet those specs as a baseline — but your operation may have additional state or local requirements, so confirm your exact obligations with FMCSA or FLHSMV before you order.
No. The federal rule requires the marking to be permanently affixed to both sides of the vehicle — removable devices like magnetic signs and paper placards do not satisfy it. Magnets are great for removable branding on a personal vehicle, but for DOT display we cut permanent adhesive vinyl. If an inspector can pull it off the door, it doesn't count.
Lettering is the entry tier of vehicle branding — cut vinyl uses far less material and installation time than a wrap, so it sits well below a partial wrap in cost, and a partial wrap sits below a full wrap. Exactly how far apart the tiers land depends on your vehicle and how much coverage you want, which is why we quote every job individually. If you're weighing lettering against a printed wrap, tell us your budget and we'll show you what each tier buys on your specific truck.
On healthy factory paint, professional removal is clean — we lift the vinyl with controlled heat and remove any adhesive residue, leaving the panel the way we found it. The honest caveat: aged, oxidized, or repainted surfaces can behave differently, because respray adhesion varies. That's why we assess the paint before installing on older or repainted vehicles and tell you up front if there's a risk.
Most lettering jobs are quick — cut vinyl goes on far faster than a wrap because there's no printing, laminating, or full-panel wrapping involved. The exact timeline depends on how many vehicles, how many panels, and our current schedule, so we confirm it with you when we send the proof. You approve the layout, we give you a firm install window.
Cut vinyl lettering is the right call for name, phone number, license numbers, and DOT compliance — clean, professional, and the most affordable way to brand a work vehicle. Printed decals step up when you need a multi-color logo or artwork that plain cut vinyl can't reproduce. A partial or full wrap is the move when you want the vehicle itself to be the advertisement — large coverage, full-color design, maximum visual impact. Many businesses start with lettering, then graduate to a wrap as the fleet grows. We do all three, so you get a straight recommendation, not an upsell.
