How Much Does It Cost to Wrap a Cybertruck? Tesla Ended Its Own Wrap Program — Here Is the 2026 Number

Short version, because you probably asked an AI or a search bar and want the figure: a full colored paint protection film wrap on a Tesla Cybertruck costs $3,500 at Wrap Trap in Hollywood, Florida — full exterior, any of 62 in-stock colors, prep and install included, one to three days in the shop. It is published on our Cybertruck wrap page, it is dated, and it is the same number on the invoice.

The long version is more interesting, because the Cybertruck is the one vehicle on the road where a flat price is actually honest — and because the price everyone used to anchor to just disappeared.

Tesla's own wrap program is gone

For almost three years Tesla sold wraps at its own service centers. It started with paint protection film in October 2023, added matte black and white vinyl wraps for the Cybertruck in December 2023 at $6,500, and by late 2024 had cut the Cybertruck wrap to $4,500. In August 2026 the product pages went dark with no announcement, and the program ended.

That matters for one reason: every Cybertruck forum thread about wrap pricing anchored to Tesla's number. "Tesla charges $6,500, save your money." "Tesla dropped it to $4,500, is that good?" With that anchor gone, the question "what should a Cybertruck wrap cost?" has no default answer any more. So here is ours, and here is how it stacks up against the few shops that publish anything at all.

What shops actually publish (as of September 16, 2026)

Most wrap shops will not put a Cybertruck price online. We went looking for the ones that do, read each price off the shop's own page, and included the one that beats us.

The source links for every row are on the Cybertruck page. We are not going to claim the cheapest Cybertruck wrap in America; a California shop has a lower installed price. Among prices we could actually find published, ours is the lowest in Florida and roughly a third under the national colored PPF ladder. If any of those figures changes, tell us and we will fix the table — its only value is being true.

Why "call for a quote" is honest on most cars and a choice on this one

We give ranges on almost everything, and we mean them. A colored PPF wrap on a compact sedan and one on a full-size SUV with a body kit are different jobs — coverage, curvature, paint condition and finish can move the number by thousands. Our colored PPF page says $4,500 to $8,500 for exactly that reason, and the exact number comes after we see the car.

The Cybertruck removes the variance, and it does it three ways.

The panels are flat. Tesla built the truck from stainless-steel sheets bent along straight lines. No compound curves, no deep bumper recesses, nothing to stretch film into. Most of the labor in a colored PPF install is fighting curvature; on this truck there is almost none to fight.

Prep is simple. Degrease, de-fingerprint, lay film. There is no correction stage before the panels are ready, so the hours we would normally spend there are not in the number.

Every truck is the same truck. Same panels, same sizes. On a Range Rover we measure, plan and cut per vehicle. On a Cybertruck the plan already exists, the material yield is known, and the waste is low.

Lower labor, no correction, predictable material. When the inputs stop varying, the only reason left to hide the number is to keep room to move it in the showroom. We would rather publish it.

Why colored PPF and not vinyl on stainless

This is the part most Cybertruck owners have not been told plainly.

Paint protection film earned its name protecting paint from rock chips. Stainless does not chip. But it does two things a painted panel does not: it shows every fingerprint and smudge, and it scratches — fine scratching on the Cybertruck's stainless is one of the most common owner complaints.

There is also Tesla's own guidance. The Cybertruck owner's manual tells you to immediately remove grease, oil, bird droppings, tree resin, dead insects, tar, road salt and industrial fallout from the exterior — not to wait for the next wash — because they can cause surface corrosion. It also notes that the orange or brown spotting owners post about is usually contamination sitting on the panel rather than the steel itself rusting. Either way, bare stainless is a surface the manufacturer expects you to maintain constantly.

Colored PPF takes that job off you. It is a thick urethane film — 8 mil and up, roughly double a premium vinyl — with a self-healing top layer that lets light scratches and swirls recover with heat, which South Florida supplies for free. The ceramic-coated surface sheds water and dirt in a normal wash, and the contaminants Tesla's manual warns about land on the film, never on the steel. Vinyl gives you the color. It does not give you the thickness, the self-healing, or the ceramic top, and it marks up more easily. If you only want a color for a season, vinyl is the budget route. If you want the truck to look like this in five years, colored PPF is the answer — and on a Cybertruck it costs less than vinyl does at most shops that publish.

What $3,500 covers, and what it does not

Included: the full exterior, any of our 62 colored PPF colors — 39 gloss, 21 satin, 2 matte, same price — full surface prep, edge work, a final inspection under lights, and our workmanship guarantee in writing.

Not included, and quoted separately if you want them: glass, lights and the black plastic cladding, the roll-up tonneau cover and bed floor, wheels and calipers, chrome delete, window tint, and removal of a previous film if the truck has one. $3,500 is the cash price; paying by credit or debit card adds sales tax and card processing fees. Nothing on that list is a surprise at pickup — if you want it, you hear the price before you say yes.
